I receive many questions regarding the vegan diet, specifically where I do my grocery shopping. Today, I decided to share with you my top 7 tips for cooking vegan on a budget. There is a big misconception that following a healthy vegan diet is really expensive, but that is not the case at all. You just have to make smart decisions for what products to buy and where to buy them from. I’m also sharing with you two vegan budget recipes that I’m currently loving – a creamy tomato soup and a sweet potato burrito.
This Creamy Tomato Soup has only a few ingredients, but is full of flavour and has a lovely smooth texture. Ever since the fall has arrived, it’s been my go-to meal. I don’t think there is anything more comforting than… Read More
Today, I decided to share with you one of my breakfast staples – scrambled tofu. This recipe could not be any easier and it’s definitely one of my favourite things to make for breakfast.
Not going to lie, after transitioning to a vegan diet I did miss certain foods. Scrambled eggs, for example, used to be my go-to breakfast before. My friends, ’tis fall again. And that means I absolutely must share with your another pumpkin recipe. Last year, I showed you how to make a No Bake Vegan Pumpkin Pie which so many of you have recreated. Today, I have for you another easy dessert recipe using pumpkin – my Pumpkin Brownies. They are oh-so-good and absolutely guilt-free.
I use a combination of brown rice and almond flour for this recipe as it creates a really lovely, moist texture which my whole family enjoys. If you don’t have brown rice flour, you can substitute it with oat flour, buckwheat flour or spelt flour (spelt does contain gluten though!).
Although this recipe is super simple, there are a few points I want to highlight. Because everyone’s ovens are different, your baking time may vary. The important thing to do is to… Read More
Last time, I shared with you three yummy vegan salads that I’m loving at the moment. And today, I have for you three delicious vegan sandwich recipes that are incredibly easy to make and are a huge hit with my family.
This yummy sandwich tastes somewhat similar to a tuna salad or an egg salad sandwich. I love adding diced celery and radishes to it for added crunch and flavour. As a dressing, I used vegan mayo which is actually really easy… Read More
